My First Brick Wall

The first genealogy article I wrote was in 1991. It was published in Ancestor, the journal of the Genealogical Society of Victoria, and told the story of my attempts to break down my first brick wall - what WAS the maiden name of my great-great-grandmother? This was a time before the internet and easy access to all manner of records, and despite my best efforts I was unable to break this wall down.
